This position is located at a VA Medical Center within the Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (Vison 6). The position is organizationally aligned under the Facilities Management Service. The primary purpose of this position is to apply a variety of coating materials to multiple surfaces such as wood, metal, and concrete.
Duties
Knowledge of techniques, devices, and materials to get a variety of finishes on all kinds of surfaces such as plaster, metals (including iron, steel, galvanized steel and aluminum), ceilings including metal pan and fibered and pavement (streets, curbs and parking areas).
Skill in applying waterproofing silicone materials on masonry wall surfaces. Paints machinery and equipment, strips and refinish doors, and waterproofs walls.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
