About the Position: This position is located at Camp Shelby, MS. Located along US Highway 49 just outside of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Camp Shelby is the largest training site owned by a state in the US. It's one of the largest mobilization stations of the US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), and it's also the biggest reserve training facility.

Duties

Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist responsible for providing regulatory guidance and instructions to special staff, directorates, and the Brigade Commander. Plans, coordinates, and reviews assigned areas of the logistics program that encompass the operations and activities related to logistical support provided for the Brigade. Responsible for ensuring critical actions are integrated and properly executed to provide a cohesive approach to logistics support requirements within the organization.

  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 25% of the time.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
