This position is aligned under Patient Care Services and supports staff and Veterans in the Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery (ICMHR) program so that effective and efficient access to mental healthcare services is provided. The incumbent serves as the Program Support Assistant to the ICMHR Program. The incumbent is responsible for all administrative records and data collection for the ICMHR Program.

This position also provides general administrative support on an as needed basis to the Mental Health Integrated Care Community (MH ICC). This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with limited direction. In addition, strong customer service skills are needed for both telephone and personal interactions with Veterans, families, and staff. Accuracy, timeliness and completeness of information are essential. This position also requires independence of action, general latitude for decision making and knowledge of information sources concerning complex questions, policies, and procedures within the ICMHR Program.
The incumbent contributes to the management of programs and must be able to analyze problems and use good judgment to ensure rapid resolution of issues. The incumbent must be able to work independently, have effective and positive communication skills, have expert knowledge of Microsoft Software Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, computer software VISTA and Maximo, Computerized Patient Record System, and various other programs (e.g., Pyramid Analytics).

maintains and tracks the outreach schedules
responsible for preparation of reports, meeting minutes, memorandums, and outgoing correspondence
coordinate and screen all incoming correspondence and communications for proper distribution
timekeeping
tracks deadlines for the variety of required clinical, staffing and workload reports
maintains necessary records, files, and publications of a variety of types
assists with coordinating follow-up appointments for Veterans
obtains and maintains clinical records

To qualify for this position at the GS-6 level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: I have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience or equivalent to the GS-5 in the normal line of progression for this occupation in the federal service that has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of experience in a clinical environment may include: creating reports; maintenance of data and files; evaluation of complex statistical data; generate statistical reports; generate graphs and outreach materials; scheduling; ability to work independently; preparing correspondence; record keeping.
