You will serve as a GRANTS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR) of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will perform a variety of senior-level duties related to the administration and management of Uniformed Services University (USU) awarded grants ranging from small projects to complex multi-site clinical programs.
You will serve as the contact person on grantsmanship matters, providing investigators with information, assistance, and direction and processing of research proposals.
You will provide assistance in developing budget justification information, ensuring accuracy and clarity, and suggesting appropriate wording where needed.
You will review and analyze all program proposals from all award winning recipients of program funds and ensures proper pre-award proposal management in accordance with federal regulations and University policies and procedures.
You will perform second-level review of all actions related to grants and research contract administration conducted by junior grants management specialists.
You will serve as management analyst for Research Administration and Intramural Programs/Research Development.
You will develop and implement policies, philosophies, and procedures for the routine assessment and management of the program.
You will perform regular audits of stored data in the grants administration database.
You will generate special reports from data stored in the grants management database as directed.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and developing grant proposals along with conducting complex reviews to provide recommendations to ensure compliance with grant submissions and administrative requirements.
