About the Position: This position is for a Medical Readiness Assistant (Office Automation) at Fort Moore, Georgia located within Martin Army Community Hospital.

Duties

Prepare and generate all reports to include special, weekly, monthly, quarterly or one of a kind as required. Uses office automation software to generate correspondence and reports from rough draft. Documents training in an automated training system as required. Utilize a variety of directives, policies to accomplish the clerical and administrative duties of the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a T1 security clearance.
  • Position requires completion of one (1) year probationary period unless the requirement has been previously met.
  • This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: processing a variety of reports utilizing medical office automation tools/software; preparing a variety of documents such as correspondence, reports, charts, graphs, and spreadsheets; and maintaining training files in accordance with records management procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 wpm per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailClericalManages and Organizes InformationReporting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
