The primary purpose of this position is to monitor logistics performance through evaluations and analysis, by ensuring quality service of logistics functions is provided to internal and external customers. To review, develop, coordinate, and implement logistics recommendations and procedural changes.
Duties
Conduct quality assurance evaluations and analysis of complex supply processes.
Manage squadron's self-assessment program and internal management control programs.
Develop, coordinate, and publish local supplements to Air Force instructions, manuals, local and base-level operating instructions and local forms applying to the Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILSS).
Prepare recurring and special reports.
Perform administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions,
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes performing supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts, such as special purpose laboratory or test equipment, prototypes of technical equipment requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, and/or items seldom handled and applying analytical methods and techniques and to apply data gathering methods, such as surveying techniques, to collect various types of information.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of one full year of graduate education in a field directly related to the position being filled. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT AT THE TIME YOU APPLY.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of governing function regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable Logistics Readiness Section.
Knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, data entry, processing of supply transactions, and work methods in an automated supply system
Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as logistics regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and to evaluate complex supply/logistics processes.
Ability to apply analytical methods and techniques and to apply data gathering methods, such as surveying techniques, to collect various types of factual information, and prepare concise reports of evaluation and other process to identify discrepancies and recommended corrective actions.
Knowledge and ability to develop and prepare various procedural guidance and instructions for local use in operations.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
