Duties
You will be responsible for implementing, integrating, and maintaining sustainable cybersecurity operational services that realizes greater information technology value through increased productivity, cost savings, and better decision-making.
You will establish and communicate goals, work plans, specific division priorities/milestones, and distribute workload to subordinates.
You will ensure functional cybersecurity plans, directives, and projects are in compliance with the Federal, DoD, DON, and Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) requirements.
You will serve as Information Assurance Security Architect/Engineer (IASAE) for CNIC IT Operations Worldwide.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 72 (Information Systems Security Operations) within 6 months of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current IASAE Level III certification.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) certification.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential cyber security risks and to make recommendations for mitigation or countermeasures based on National Institute of Standards and Technology and Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guidelines; 2) Approving, modifying, or rejecting plans of all cyber security initiatives related to the technical support, operations, maintenance, and security for all server hardware and software configuration and installation to ensure consistency with Federal, DoD, and DON policy and guidelines; and 3) Assessing and identifying the need for policy changes based on new cyber security technologies, evolving Federal policy, or identified threats. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
