You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SPECIAL SECURITY OFFICER (N01SSO) of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.
Duties
You will ensure all NSWDG personnel are properly cleared to handle information as required by their duties.
You will coordinate all actions with subordinate echelon commands and recommends action to be taken when derogatory information surfaces on individuals with access to classified information.
You will ensure visitors are promptly and properly registered and escorted to offices.
You will ensure proper classification, declassification, and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by NSWDG.
You will maintain security of NSWDG collateral, SCI, and Special Access Program (SAP) compartmented areas, SCI facilities (SCIFs), and Tactical SCIFs (TSCIFs).
You will provide unique training for NSWDG personnel for specialized programs specific to the command.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing, tracking, or reporting security violations, infractions, to determine cause and damage to national security following established procedures and guidelines; AND facilitating security programs in the areas of Classification Management, Information Security, Physical Security, or Personnel Security.
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with managing, tracking, or reporting security violations, infractions, to determine cause and damage to national security following established procedures and guidelines; AND facilitating security programs in the areas of Classification Management, Information Security, Physical Security, or Personnel Security.

Education
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
GS-11:
Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

LL.M., if related.
GS-09:
Master's OR equivalent graduate degree

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
