Duties

Performs all aspects of the carpentry, plumbing, and painting trades at journeymen level. Repairs and maintains historic buildings, government housing, support structures and buildings within accepted safety, health and sanitary conditions. Perform plumbing on potable water and wastewater systems and related equipment such floats, fittings, sinks, toilets, and fixtures. Performs minor electrical wiring and troubleshooting necessary to maintain existing 120 and 240 volt electrical systems. Plans and lay out projects, making modifications when necessary. Inputs data into the computerized Facility Management Software System (FMSS) and uses electronic email and word processing programs as a component of daily work activities. You must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL within 90 days of entry on duty.

A specific length of time and experience is not required. Qualification requirement emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. You must meet the 2 point level on the screen out factor/element and an average of level 2 on all factors/elements listed. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the job-related factors.
