The employee serves as Journeyman Pipefitter within the Facilities Management Services at the Orlando Medical Facility Outpatient Clinic and Nursing Home Care Unit. May provide as needed support to the Brevard Outpatient Clinic located in Viera, FL and associated medical facilities.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Perform the duties of a journeyman plumber to install or modify equipment such as sewage, water, oil air or gas distribution systems.
Installing, maintaining and repairing all steam distribution lines, expansion loops, steam traps, valves, condensate return lines, pumps, insulation and related suspension systems.
Operate tools of the trade and be responsible for cleaning and maintaining them.
Using tools of the trade such as sliding squares, hand and power pipe threaders and cutters, measuring tapes, plumb bobs, templates, dividers, star drills, grinders and pipe wrenches.
Learning, practicing and supporting all existing safety practices relevant to this position.
Review specifications, work from blueprints and sketches, plan and routes the new systems and make necessary installations.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Tuesday - Saturday, Sunday - Thursday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am

Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit as work involves lifting, pulling, climbing, crawling, working with hands over head, working in confined areas and using arm and back muscles in tightening connections. Must have ability to be on feet for long periods either standing, walking, working off ladders or staging materials and lift equipment weighing 60 pounds and over. Will request assistance when needed to avoid injury.
