The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Program Manager of projects and programs within AF CyberWorx; is responsible for documenting, tracking, and guiding AF CyberWorx projects and programs from cradle to grave.

Duties
Program Management. Plans, organizes, and oversees efforts and projects that are aimed at achieving and
improving the quality, effectiveness, and timeliness of program accomplishment.
Conducts and/or provides advisory services to managers, supervisors, and employees on AF CyberWorx
program(s) that typically involve long-range, highly complex, and often sensitive topics.
Represents the organization at conferences and meetings and presents briefings.
Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.
Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy
sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assignments.

- Industry certification(s) such Project Management Professional equivalent or beyond preferred.

- Overtime and emergency overtime may be required.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 (Alternative A). Click here for the occupational requirements of this position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving AND have one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes mastery of advanced management and organizational principles and practices along with a comprehensive knowledge of planning, programming and budgeting regulations, guidelines and processes in order to provide oversight and analysis of major programs. Knowledge of program management principles and practices and skill in identifying program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones, and methods of evaluating program accomplishments sufficient to plan, implement, and evaluate programs.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Mastery of a full range of program management principles, concepts, and methods.
2. Expert knowledge of organizational policy and planning processes and its potential uses and applications within CWx, USAFA, DAF, DoD, and to the warfighter.
3. Ability to analyze complexities in potential, existing, and future programs and identify and initiate enhancements while providing management sufficient justification to support changes.
4. Ability to maintain up to date awareness of government, industry, and academia project management best practices and incorporate or advocate those practices to improve AF CyberWorx strategic and operational goals.
5. Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements. Skill and ability to document projects and build reports appropriate to their intended audience.
6. Ability to analyze complexities of existing technology, review/revise/develop policy, initiate plans for enhancements, and provide management sufficient technical and cost analysis information, through written documentation and oral briefings, to render informed judgments. Knowledge of system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
