Provide first level leadership and guidance to housekeeping aids in accomplishing the cleaning of administrative, public, and patient care areas, including any or all of the following: sweeping, mopping, trash removal, dusting, polishing, cleaning of both fluorescent and incandescent lights, wall washing, window washing, moving of furniture and equipment and other related functions.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Work assignments involve standing, stooping, bending, kneeling and frequently working in awkward positions for prolonged periods. Incumbent may frequently lift from 10 to 50 pounds. Incumbent must be able to work from ladders and scaffolds. The incumbent may be required to work unorthodox tours (any of 7 days, 24 hours). Circumstances may necessitate that the incumbents tour of duty be staggered. Work is performed indoors and out, in all climates, in areas that may be poorly lit and/or poorly ventilated. Incumbent may be subject to daily exposures of contagious disease and infections, cuts, needle punctures, bruises, minor electrical shock, and skin irritations.
