Duties

You will perform required Quality Assurance (QA) oversight, inspections, and audits on the Fallon mission Receipt, Storage, Segregation, and Issue (RSSII) and production programs of the Detachment. You will ensure the processing, handling, assembly, disassembly, and storage of ordnance or ordnance-related material are performed in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and requirements. You will serve as the Detachments Inventory Accuracy Officer and as the Inventory Accuracy Officer providing oversight functions for inventory issues and procedures. You will direct action in investigating supply transaction records, compliance of procedures affecting inventory records with regulations and the validity and propriety of inventory accounting documents. You will generate recurring reports on the status of inventory records, evaluation of current status, analysis of problems, and recommendations for improvements. You will develop procedures for random audits to be conducted, analyzes the results, and recommend corrective actions for deficiencies. You will analyze quality data to identify trends. You will review quality historical data, calculate process averages for major projects, commodities, and functions for indications of the cumulative effects of an undesirable condition.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing quality assurance audits or surveillances of ordnance inventory operations (e.g., receipt, storage, processing, handling, segregation, issue); analyzing quality data to identify trends or deficiencies; and recommending corrective action to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Education

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
