Duties
Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
Plans, conducts, publicize and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
Leads the work of other employees; passes on to other workers instructions received from the supervisor and starts work; provides on-the job training to new employees.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Ability to work an irregular schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and split-shifts.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Work experience, which involved dealing with general public.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
Possess 6 months of work experience in a physical fitness center, gym or recreation center.
