About the position: This position will be assigned to the Jet Stream Java, Gunfighter Services Center, Bldg 2610. This is a Flexible work schedule with no minimum guaranteed hours, however you may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits.

Duties

Operates limited coffee operation. Prepares a variety of hot and cold beverages such as cappuccinos, frappuccinos, brewed coffee, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, etc. by selecting proper ingredients. Serves cold beverages and food items, such as soda, juice, cookies, muffins, pastries, popcorn, candy, etc. Receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to patrons. Sets up work area for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner. Sets up/cleans tables for customers and replenishes condiment items as necessary. Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, scours glassware, dishes and utensils as required. Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks as required such as; coffee machines, ceilings, under and behind equipment, refrigerators, washes floors and walls, sanitizes garbage cans. May unload stock from delivery trucks. Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area. Assists with inventories, identifies items for re-ordering. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability. May sell alcoholic beverages limited to bottled beer. Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

• This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to obtain a Food handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.

Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler1s training. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
