Duties

Serves as the organizational senior production management officer ensuring repair planning and budget forecasting activities are scheduled, executed in compliance with policy and procedures. Serves as organization's Production Management Specialist Subject Matter Expert (SME). Attends regular meetings, briefings, and conferences dealing with production management businesses areas assigned. Prepares and delivers written or oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, and strategy sessions. Accomplishes assigned tasks and other duties as assigned in a manner which contributes to meeting the objectives of producing quality products and results within established time schedules.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions and General Business and Industry Series, 1101. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Oversight for items managed which have been determined as contract repaired and to research and analyze management control for ongoing repair, maintenance and modification projects for assigned workload which requires a knowledge of budgeting, procurement and funding processes related to logistics and production management functions. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-?grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. General knowledge of a wide range of Wholesale Supply Chain Management principles, processes, concepts and methodologies to effectively apply analytical and evaluation methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning their efficiency and effectiveness. 2. Practical knowledge of inventory management, financial management, and production management business areas related to the planning, budgeting, and execution of customer requirements. 3. Basic knowledge of USAF supply and maintenance systems such as the Secondary Item Requirements System (D200), Execution and Prioritization of Repair Support System (EXPRESS), Contractor Assest Visibility (CAV), and Purchase Request Process System (PRPS), Automated Budgeting Compilation System (ABCS). 4. Skill in collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting data for the purpose of identifying negative trends, root cause analysis, and development of corrective actions and/or process improvements. 5. Skill in facilitating diverse groups, resolving problems between internal and external organizations, and executing the most effective process solutions and management considerations. 6. Ability to utilize data gathering techniques, to analyze and organize data from multiple data systems, and present data in a logical, meaningful, and executional format. 7. Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication, to interact with team members, supervisors, Group and Senior Leaders, and external organizations, negotiate complex issues while maintaiining good working relationships. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
