About the position: This position will be assigned to the Sheppard AFB Lodging.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to supervise NAF employees that perform work in the operations of maintenance; motor vehicle; linen exchange, and logistics for lodging operations with 800or more rooms/units. Accountable for the quantity and quality of work performed by assigned employees to include hires, promotes, motivates, disciplines, and separates employees. Writes, coordinates, and submits AF Form 332, Base Civil Engineer Work Request, and tracks work orders to completion or submits thru NexGen. Ensures safety inspections are current, to include facility, fire extinguisher, preventative maintenance, OSHA, and other inspections are maintained and documented. Documents and fosters proper maintenance and warehouse practices. Inspects lodging facilities, rooms, common areas, grounds, equipment, and tools to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are accomplished and/or to identify minor plumbing and electrical discrepancies, sanitation problems or deteriorated paint surfaces. Ensures routine inspection and minor maintenance are performed on lodging vehicles. Maintains bench stock levels of parts, materials, tools, and equipment prescribed levels. Performs other related duties as assigned. Establishes and maintains minimum stock levels of all expendable supplies and amenities. to assure adequate inventory of items to prevent work stoppage. Arrange stocks of perishable items to ensure that items are used before expiration dates. Establishes and maintains the appropriate security of high value items subject to pilferage. Responsible for warehousing of expendable and nonexpendable back stocks according to generally accepted supply warehousing and safety policies and standards. Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates, and evaluates their work performance. Approving or disapproving sick leave, annual leave, or other absences from work; planning, scheduling, and coordinating work operations, solving problems related to the work supervised. Determining equipment and supplies needed; and explaining and gaining the support of subordinates for management policy and goals. Dealing effectively with employee and representatives of personnel on employee suggestions, complaints, grievances, and other matters. Inspects completed work for quality and completeness. Monitors performance-based recognition and internal special lodging awards program for the lodging staff Provides initial and recurring training for all employees. Qualifying Experience: Preferably have progressively responsible experience in a military or civilian lodging program, which provided knowledge of supervising other persons, and be familiar with supply and vehicle maintenance; or the ability to build teams and work with others. Supervision experience should be at a sufficient level to ensure knowledge of how and why tasks are performed and to ensure work is performed efficiently and effectively. Have experience, which demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, and efficiently both orally and in writing and the ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups to accomplish work/tasks. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI): "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random drug testing for drug use."
