This position is part of the St Stephen's Indian School, Bureau of Indian Education. As a Education Technician (Special Education) you will be responsible for supporting classroom teacher in a BIE school on or near the Reservation. The instruction area is in support of the Special Education program.

Duties

As a Education Technician (Special Education) CY-1702-2, your typical work assignments may include the following: Monitoring students during various phases of school day Provides assistance in toileting, feeding, eating and personal hygiene Supports educational efforts in the Special Education classroom and general education classroom as needed. Performs administrative tasks such as attendance records, filing, scheduling, and reviewing assignments. Works with students in accordance with plans developed by the specialist and educator.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a background clearance.
• Must obtain and Maintain valid state driver's license.
