These positions are located in the BLM Oregon State Office, Medford and Vale District Offices. The primary purpose of these positions is to conduct administrative support functions to resolve recurring technical/clerical administrative problems that ensure the timeliness and efficiency of administrative operations.

Duties

Salary Ranges - Medford/Vale Oregon: GS-06: $42,022 - $54,625 per year and GS-07: $46,696- $60,703 per year. This position will support a wide variety of administrative support functions and serve as the point of contact on specific programs related to office administration, including working with the Fleet & Property Manager for accountable property including vehicles data entry. The position will also assist with preparing correspondence, processing time and attendance, travel, mail processing, front desk duties, and procuring office supplies. Major duties include but not limited to the areas of: Facilities, Fleet, Property, Procurement, Collections, Travel, Mail, Public Contact. Promotion to the full performance level of GS-07 is neither guaranteed nor implied and will be based solely on your ability to satisfactorily perform the work of the position, existing work at the higher grade level, and recommendation by the position's supervisor.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying: GS-06: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 level in the Federal Service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following in a developmental capacity: (1) assisting the day-to-day administrative operations of facilities, fleet vehicles, or equipment including time and attendance; (2) processing clerical duties such as collecting, filing, inputting, and maintaining records, official forms, or mail; (3) preparing documents needed for correspondence, travel, collections, or procurement. GS-07: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 level in the Federal Service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following in a developmental capacity: (1) analyzing historical financial data to develop or monitor budgetary operations; (2) processing daily activities in the areas of fleet vehicle, property, procurement, travel, or time and attendance; (3) providing information of services to others. Status merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-5 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-6 level; and one year at the GS-6 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-7 level. (You must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".
