About the Position: This position is located in the Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratory, Tripler Army Medical Center, HI.

Duties

Maintain forensic documents using complex electronic and manual file systems. Ensure all forensic records are properly maintained and destroyed as per regulations. Review chain of custody and intra-laboratory reports in order to prepare requested documents. Perform audit post inspection to ensure all forensic documents are accounted for prior to re-filing in the litigation support section.

  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing or sorting legal documents in regards to forensic drug testing or forensic toxicology; retrieving data from specified electronic records; and entering data into predefined spreadsheets or database files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingReasoning (Clerical/Technical) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
