This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The AK District is seeking to fill a Project Manager in the Civil Works Branch. An ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating project teams; managing the scope, schedule, and budget of projects with varying complexity. Possess knowledge of how to lead a project team.

Duties

Serves as Project Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned programs and projects. Coordinates the planning, design, and construction for projects of normal scope and complexity as measured by their diversity, geographical area, management demands, technical intricacies, and public/regulatory issues. Controls and manages project milestones and budgets. Allocates project funds to district elements, consistent with progress attained, and measures and monitors performance to assure commitments of all parties are being maintained. Responsible for managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scoping, design, construction, and direction of projects to support a specific functional program.
