You will serve as a Human Resources Asst (Military/OA) in the Manpower/Personnel Department of NRC NORFOLK.
Duties
You will coordinate directly with the major claimant in resolution of conflicts between each individual reservist's desires/needs and the reserve program training requirements.
You will serve as the authoritative source, advisor, and procedural authority for reserve administration.
You will directly handle rental cars, lodging, per diem, pay, special allowances, notification of the individual and gaining command.
Performs as the final technical reviewer/evaluator of all training applications, checking for authorization, accuracy, and justification.
You will independently process gains, losses, and transfers of Reserve Sailors, via numerous personnel systems.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience using computer based programs (such as Microsoft Word and Excel). Experience generating reports. Experience using automated systems such as Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Reserve Force Manpower Tools (RFMT), and Navy Reserve Order Writing System (NROWS). Experience tracking gains and losses. Experience making travel arrangements, pay arrangements, administrative coordination for processing such as processing for Annual Training (AT), Active Duty Training (ADT), Initial Active Duty Training (IADT), Inactive Duty Training Travel (IDTT) and Mobilization of Reserve Personnel. Experience ensuring service credit for retirement purposes. Experience drafting memoranda pertaining to changes in rules and regulations. Experience solving personnel problems using civilian personnel principles, concepts, laws, regulations, and policies.
