About the Position: The position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility and Security, Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.

Duties

Provide technical supervision to employees who provide on-site and callback maintenance services. Manage for continuous operation and independent certification of complete facilities, systems, subsystems and components of complex electronic air traffic control (ATC), and Navigational and Communications equipment. Report on and maintains cost, production, utilization and other records pertinent to operation and administration. Coordinates acquisition, repair and calibration of a wide variety of instruments and test equipment.

Requirements

  • Supervisory probation may be required.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the incumbent to fly in Army Aircraft during equipment evaluations.
  • This position requires that the incumbent obtain and maintain a valid certifications by passing training modules for the air traffic control navigational aids, instrument landing, radar, and or communications systems, within prescribed time limits.
  • A Financial Disclosure agreement is requirement.
