Duties
Applies prescribed procedures and phraseology, using all pertinent manuals and directives, to accomplish the following:
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- First page of FAA 3330-43 (unrated) must be submitted.
- Must currently hold or have held an AFSS/FSS facility rating.
- Position is designated as Moderate Risk; a background investigation may be required
- This position is subject to mandatory separation at age 56.
- This position is covered by Public Law 92-297 for ATC early retirement
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess specialized experience equivalent to an FV-G/AT-AG (Development Level 3)/FG/GS-10/11. Specialized experience is experience in an air traffic facility that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the level of work of the advertised position. This experience must have provided a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate air traffic control laws, rules and regulations.Applicants must be FSS facility rated or previously have held a facility rating in a Flight Service Station (FSS). Applicants must indicate on their application package that they have held or currently have this rating. Applicants may be deemed ineligible if this is not clearly stated in your application package.The FAA 3330-43 (unrated) is a required form which will be used when making qualifications determination. Please do not include your social security number on this form.In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a selective factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
