About the Position: This position is located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Commander's Staff Public Affairs Office.

Duties

Advise on public issues, operational programs, and communication policies. Develop communication plans to inform affected public areas. Serve as the principal communication advisor on all matters relating to public issues and strategic communication policy. Assist subordinate staff on work performances, development, and training.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess a valid government motor vehicle operator's license.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter..
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
