Duties
You will manage programs for initial outfitting and re-allocation of aircraft/avionics equipment.
You will plan, review, and manage assets for long-range operating and deployment schedules for aircraft carriers, air wings and squadrons.
You will manage the implementation of policies and directives for configuration control, equipment and associated airframe modifications, asset distribution integrated logistics support plans, maintenance and operating procedures.
You will coordinate the review and processing of Technical Directives (TDs) including Maintenance Engineering Reports (MER), Rapid Action Engineering Changes (RAMEC) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
You will provide guidance in all elements of aircraft configuration.
You will provide recommendations to resolve complex configuration management problems.
You will perform statistical data analysis to document and track specific aircraft/avionics configurations.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and integrating logistics requirements for aviation component repair to ensure effective and economical support of aircraft systems.
Examples of qualifying experience include: coordinating the review and processing of technical directives; applying configuration management to ensure optimum integration of systems; providing advice and support in aircraft configuration; or utilizing Microsoft applications to perform statistical data analysis to track aircraft/avionics configurations.
