Located in the Bureau of Energy Resources, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Transformation (ENR/ETR). Performs a wide variety of duties intended to relieve the DAS of administrative detail and assist in the discharge of responsibilities on a daily bases. Required to work closely and in complete harmony with the DAS and be fully aware of their policies and viewpoints as they relate to current situations and plans for project activities.
Duties
Serves as a liaison for the DAS by cultivating necessary contacts within the Bureau, Department, interagency, foreign embassies, and/or the Non Government Organization community.
Manages the administration of the office by keeping track of time and attendance, office equipment, travel, supplies, events, and space.
Maintains DAS’s calendar and day-to-day schedule, ensuring calendars and schedules are accurate, up to date, and reflect the priorities and preferences of the DAS.
Develops, standardizes, and implements paper and electronic flow processes and filing systems.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to type 40 words per minute.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of this position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings.
Experience preparing correspondence and written materials for senior officials such as reports, briefings, graphs, tables, and annotated agendas.
Experience scheduling and managing domestic and international travel plans.
