Duties
You will analyze space and furniture arrangements for compliance with universal design concepts and building codes.
You will lead facility planning reviews to coordinate actions on renovation projects.
You will create and deliver presentations for managers and other pertinent parties to relay interior design project information.
You will plan details for the execution of assignments to complete interior design projects on time.
You will oversee and manage interior design projects for new construction or alterations of various types of shore facilities.
You will draft and deliver briefings, point papers, correspondence, or similar documentation to exchange information or resolve interior design issues.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provides expert technical advice and direction, review and administration related to interior design for new construction and refurbishment of naval shore facilities; 2) Develops and maintain format for project scope of work performed by private Architectural and Engineering firms; 3) Provides training and mentoring to technical staff of Area Focus Teams with regard to interior design; 4) Delivers team coaching, project support, and monitors the performance of other Interior Designers.
