You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD AEGIS TRAREDCEN.

Duties

You will analyze course content to integrate the latest advances in a designated subject. You will complete needs assessments, task analyses, and gap analyses to determine learning objectives. You will coordinate the types and capabilities of instructional methods, materials, and media used in training programs. You will design and implement the development of instructional material to support the training program You will plan and coordinate the development of curricula for training courses. You will analyze effectiveness of training to recommend alternatives or changes. You will analyze training plans and programs over specific time frames to determine trends and verify desired quality is maintained. You will assess the effectiveness of existing training programs within the organization to make improvements. You will coordinate training schedules, costs, instructors, and required materials with organizations and outside contractors.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Travel is required on a limited routine basis to the various SCSTC learning sites and detachments located throughout the United States, Hawaii, Japan, and Spain.
  • Additional travel is required to attend conferences, training courses or to attend meetings.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:r 1) Leads groups of learning site and detachment course supervisors and small group action teams; 2) Trains Aegis Combat System officer and enlisted personnel, such as Operating, employing and/or maintaining the combat System and Combat System management; 3) Conducts formal and informal subject matter expertise and instructor development events to establish and maintain high standards of instruction across multiple learning sites and detachments; 4) Develop and modify curriculum in an Integrated Learning Environment (ILE Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
