Serves as the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program Manager. Incumbent reports to the Technical Operations, Technical Services Organization, Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Support Operations Group (EOSG), EOSH Program Support Center.
Duties
Analyzes jobs, processes, products, or other systems to determine the risks to employees. Recommends modifications to workplaces to control or eliminate hazards. Inspects or surveys workplaces for compliance with established safety and occupational health policies or standards and to identify potential new hazards. Reviews project plans and specifications for facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with established EOSH standards. Conducts occupational safety evaluation of hazardous conditions and develops recommendations for abatement.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the I pay band level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent at the next lower level, FV-H, FG/GS-12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is experience in interpreting and applying Industrial Health principles and regulations, Occupational Safety principles and regulations, and Environmental Compliance laws and regulations. Such experience should include program management of fall protection, electrical safety, confined space entry, hazard communication, indoor air quality, job hazard analysis, asbestos abatement, lead (Pb) abatement, and waste management.Applicants MUST include examples of specialized experience in their work history and be specific when describing specialized experience.Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
