About the Position: This is a Regulatory Program Assistant (OA), GS-0303-6/7 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Operations Division, Regulatory Branch, Nebraska Regulatory Field Office, located at the Chalco Hills Recreation Area.
Duties
Provides support in the form of various administrative, clerical, and procedural tasks to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and consistency of operations within the Regulatory function including field offices.
Serves as files administrator responsible for maintenance of files and records.
Maintains suspense files on all division activities including permit actions, congressional inquiries and FOIA requests.
Provides administrative and logistical support required for the planning, scheduling and conduct of regulatory public hearings.
Retrieves and files correspondence, records, reports, and permit documents by subject matter as well as by number.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to obtain, maintain, and possess a valid state motor vehicle operator driver's license.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Organizing file maintenance in compliance with regulations; 2) Performing administrative tasks such as timekeeping, travel orders and voucher or budgetary obligations and expenditures; 3) Preparing and reviewing correspondence and documents for formatting accuracy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
