This National Guard position is for a FLIGHT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - Title 32, Position Description Number D0671000 and is part of the WI AASF 2, Wisconsin Army National Guard.
Duties
As a FLIGHT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - Title 32, GS-2102-8, you will conduct preflight briefings for pilots and provide in-flight advisory services. The AASF provides flight services and mission briefings which are relatively small in number i.e. well below 75,000 and 25,000 respectively.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying basic rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of a transportation program. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-2102-08 level, applicant must have at least 18 months experience, education, or training preflight briefings for pilots and provide in-flight advisory services, managing flight records for both rated and non-rated air crew members, supporting Aviation Incentive Pay, and Hazardous Duty Pay, and gate reviews for all crewmembers within the Aircrew Training Program of multiple airframes, UH-60A/L and UH-72. Experience activating the state pre-accident plan and coordinating resources in the event of an aviation or ground incident. Reviewing and applying regulations and directives from multiple agencies. Coordinating and scheduling flights on a day to day basis.
