Duties
As a Logistics management Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:
Logistically supports DTRA elements located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and surrounding areas to include White Sands Missile Ranges (WSMR) and Kirtland Air Force Base which are responsible for planning and conducting advanced conventional and nuclear weapons effects simulation tests, counter-proliferation and counter terrorism tests and demonstrations, and high explosive tests in support of DoD Weapons Effects Test Program. Provides vehicle, equipment and logistical support to the Agency on-site test programs, Defense Threat Reduction Information Analysis Center (DTRIAC) and Defense Nuclear Weapons School (DWNS). Assists in logistics sustainment effort and helps manage the cost and accountability for equipment and materials. Forecasts usage rates; establishes initial repair and replacement cost factors; determines requirements for technical data; interprets and evaluates maintenance requirements and operational capabilities of equipment; controls proposed maintenance and life-cycle replacement changes and presents them to the AL-ELFE Chief. Evaluates the appropriateness of combining individual corrective actions with other pending actions. Provides on-site management at Kirtland to operate and maintain the facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Coordinating the objectives and plans of a logistics program through the logistics process.
Developing and implementing local inventory and/or supply processes and procedures.
Recommending solutions to problems pertaining to property accountability operations and general supply support programs.
You may qualify at the GS-11, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service
Supporting a supply or inventory program through the logistics process.
Supporting the development and/or implementation of local inventory and/or supply processes and procedures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
For the GS-12 Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
If substituting education for experience at the GS-11 level, you must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.M., if related. If substituting or combining education for experience, transcripts MUST be provided. Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
