Position may be eligible for relocation/recruitment/retention incentive. About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Human Resources (DHR), Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities. This is a developmental position, GS-07 FPL GS-09. Management may select at either grade level.

Duties

Serve as the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator and Privacy Act (PA)/Personally Identifiable Information (PII) officer. Manage the Installation Publications Control Program. Process requests for information and records under the Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA). Contact appropriate organization personnel and external organizations to obtain releasable records. Provide guidance to higher echelon and general public regarding disclosure of agency records under the Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act/Personally Identifiable Information (FOIA/PA/PII).

  • Incumbent is required to possess, or obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Specialized Experience: GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Receiving and reviewing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to determine appropriate action; 2) Researching and retrieving Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requested materials such as files and reports; 3) Redacting case files using an automated software package and in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations; And 4) Developing plans and procedures for implementing installation policies and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
