You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the AIR OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of the GROUND ELECTRONICS DIVISION of NAVAL AIR STATION, Commander, Navy Region Southeast
Duties
You will provide technical support on corrective and preventative maintenance of radio frequency (RF) communications systems to meet operations standards.
You will develop strategies to assess workforce capabilities and project training needs.
You will analyze methods to develop and maintain operating and repair procedures to accomplish organizational goals.
You will review maintenance documentation and provides input for the development of maintenance plans.

- In both daylight and darkness, incumbent will be exposed to potentially dangerous situations such as working at heights above 50 feet, around high voltage or RF energy, or under unusual environment stress such as inclement weather.
- Working primarily daylight hours, incumbent is on-call, to provide guidance for senior technicians, during all hours of airfield operations.
- The work may require considerable physical exertion such as climbing various structures and towers; lifting heavy objects weighing over 50 pounds, recurring crouching, stooping and stretching; working aloft on towers and other platforms.
- Incumbent must attend the SPECTRUM XXI training sponsored by the Joint Spectrum Center.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing Electronics Technicians in the maintenance of all Air Traffic Control (ATC) and associated equipment to minimize aviation hazards; 2) Determining tolerances of electronic system and related equipment devices as prescribed within FAA maintenance procedures and policies; 3) Applying technical methods, principles and practices to solve complex technical problems; 4) Testing, analyzing results and preparing performance reports of electronic systems and equipment; 5) Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed develop and training; and 6) Assisting in both the preparation and maintenance of assigned budgets to support mission.
