About the Position: This position is located at the US Military Entrance Processing Command in Denver, Colorado.

Duties

Provide technical expertise, guidance and leadership to the Medical Exam Group. Coach, facilitate, solve work problems and participate in the work of the MEPS Medical Exam Function. Screen applicants? records for conducting physical examinations. Verifies applicants? identify using previously captured biometrics (digital fingerprints and photographs) or captures applicants? biometrics if first-contact with the MEPS. Provides assistance with the handling of unusual or difficult situations such as priority of emergencies, interpretation of doctor?s orders, managing unruly applicants, etc.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Occasional shift work (before 0600 or after 1800 hours) may be required.
• Occasionally may be required to work Saturdays.
• Applicant must use restrictive and protective clothing (such as surgical gloves); applicant cannot wear exposing footwear.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
