The Procurement Analyst position is located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Community Relations Service (CRS), Office of the Director, serving as the procurement and pre-award/post-award subject-matter expert for the Community Relations Service Program Office and as such provides advice, guidance and assistance to the CRS Headquarters, 10 Regional and 4 Field Offices throughout the United States.

As a Procurement Analyst (GS-1102-12), your typical work assignments or responsibilities may include the following: 1.Serve as a Delegated Procurement Authority (DPA) official utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. 2.Primary point of contact to purchase supplies and services for CRS using purchase card and as a designated purchasing authority using purchase orders to warrant limitations. 3.Serve as the CRS alternate Travel Coordinator and administrator and obligator for funding document control in the E2 travel system. 4.Serve as a Procurement Analyst applying Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the justice Acquisition Regulations (JAR). Organizations may also add 'other duties as assigned' once you are hired, based on what is included and allowed by the position description.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Procurement Analyst at (GS-1102-12), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade. Requirements for Contracting Series, 1102; GS-12: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Educational Requirements (transcripts required): A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field; or At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. ***Exceptions: Employees in GS-1102 positions will be considered to have met the standard for positions they occupy on January 1, 2000. Employees who occupy GS-1102 positions at grades 5 through 12 will be considered to meet the basic requirements for other GS-1102 positions up to and including those classified at GS-12. This includes positions at other agencies and promotions up through grade 12. However, employees must meet specialized experience requirements when seeking another position. AND Specialized Experience for Procurement Analyst, GS-1102-12: To qualify for the Procurement Analyst, GS-1102-12 - One year of specialize experience equivalent to the next lower grade of a GS-11 in the federal service which includes at least two of the following: 1. Monitoring contract performance and timely prepare procurement documents (purchase orders, contract awards). 2. Timely place orders for supplies and services and monitor cardholders' transactions and accounts to ensure compliance with policy and regulations. 3. Provide expert advice and guidance relating to travel issues, resolving complex domestic and international travel questions, in accordance with the travel management rules and regulations.
