The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an experienced Threat Ground Intelligence Specialist engaging in the processing and exploitation of complex information obtained from multi-intelligence sources and databases, through various means, related to political, social, cultural, scientific, and/or military conditions, trends, and forces that directly or indirectly affect national security.
Duties
-Performs duties involving the processing and exploitation of complex intelligence information. As the Ground Intelligence Analyst, provides subject matter expertise as the primary manager of all ground threat exercise databases through the processing and exploitation of complex intelligence information obtained from multiintelligence sources and databases through various means.
-Responsible for all ground threat database operations as depicted in the commands standard operating procedures. Provides the command and supported training audience units and other customers threat intelligence information to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths.
-Conducts complex analysis of multi-source intelligence information, methods and sources. Evaluates both classified and unclassified information to understand adversary strengths, weaknesses, and centers of gravity.
-Participates as an intelligence planner in the design and development of scenarios for event participants at both the Operational and Strategic level of war; provides realistic representation of the pacing and acute threats as identified in the National Defense Strategy to support US and coalition forces. Evaluates and reports data to advise planners and operators to accomplish objectives on a broad range of functions such as: Cyber, Information Assurance, Electronic Warfare, Net-Warfare, Influence Operations, Special Technical Operations, Special Access Programs, Operations Security, and Special Operations.
-Prepares and delivers written reports and oral presentations, e.g., briefings, training sessions, consultations, orientations, and discussions with command leadership, supervisors, customers, and co-workers and conducts or leads conferences as personnel representative of the command. Communicates with C-MAJCOM/C-NAF Air Component staff on full range of civilian personnel programs, providing readiness training for Air Component Command and staff with accurate and timely information.

Qualifications
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: extensive knowledge of the full range of intelligence research, processing, and exploitation methods, techniques, and practices using multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments. Knowledge of advanced dissemination principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed reports on complex information/situations attained from multiple sources. Demonstrates knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships, and operations. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research, processing, and exploitation methods, techniques, and practices using multi-source intelligence information to capture and report intelligence information in a usable form that directly or indirectly affects national security; interprets policy and commits resources impacting intelligence capabilities. Familiarity with downloading and manipulating Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB) information for use in Order of Battle generation. Intelligence background highly desirable.
2. Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, mission/functions, interrelationships, and operations.
3. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing processing and exploitation requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients. Must be familiar with Microsoft EXCEL or LINUX OFFICE spreadsheet sheets.
4. Skill in communicating effectively with others both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. Organized and detail oriented and possess a strong independent work ethic with good interpersonal skills. Database work is a precision based, tedious, and time-consuming process that requires focus and the ability to coordinate with other sections to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively.
6. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT'D:
1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
