Duties
This position is within the Budget Division (BUD) under the Chief Financial Officer Directorate (CFO) and may be stationed in Glynco, Georgia, Charleston, South Carolina, or Cheltenham Maryland. The Budget Division is responsible for the following budgeting phases: formulation of budget estimates; presentation of budget estimates, including their preparation and support; execution of approved budgets, including the determination of requirements within authorized limits; and administration of apportionment or other means of fund authorization. This position serves a Supervisory Budget Analyst and acts as a Branch Chief providing expert budgetary advice to Center Management officials with regard to all facets of the budget process at FLETC. Requirements
- This position requires you to have access, safeguard, and store classified national security information on a regular basis. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- You will be required to complete an OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, within 30 days of starting your federal employment and annually thereafter as long as you occupy a position that requires financial disclosure reporting.

- Overtime work may be required.
- Current FLETC employees within the General Schedule (GS) must meet the time-in-grade requirements outlined in the "Qualifications" section of this announcement.
- New supervisors/managers must successfully complete a 1-year probationary period.
- This position is eligible for situational-only telework based on agency policy.
- This position is designated as Emergency Essential. You will be required to sustain FLETC operations in the event of a localized situation, such as inclement weather, interruptions to power, or dismissal or closure of DHS operations or services.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.
- This is not a bargaining unit position.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal service performing a full range of budget oversight, control and accountability to include the execution of an approved budget, analyzing and interpreting the status of resources required and available for various projects in order to provide advice to management; and developing and writing guidelines and special instructions concerning requirements and procedures for the submission of financial plans, reports, and budget data.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps and AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time-in-Grade: Current GS federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13 grade level in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
