The Smithsonian Institution is the worldβs largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is in the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC). The National Museum of African American History and Culture is a national museum for the study and exhibition of African American history and culture.
Duties
The Lead Visitor Services Coordinator is responsible for visitor and guests services; engagement and cultural interpretation; VIP tours and group visits.

Qualifications
Basic Qualification: Experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
In addition to the basic qualification requirement above:
Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience managing daily visitor operations in a museum, gallery, library or archive; scheduling team members and volunteers; training visitor services teams and volunteers; gathering visitor data and feedback from surveys; overseeing the purchase and maintenance of equipment and supplies; and complying with health or safety related protocols to manage visitor flow.
Or Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Or a Combination: Education and experience may be combined to meet the basic qualifications.
