The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Pass and Registration (Pass &ID) Program Manager and as a security assistant assigned to pass and ID, to execute bass access point control mission. Process various security related documentation including requests for issuance of Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) cards and passes.
Duties
Summary Cont'd: Processes various security related documentation including requests for issuance of Restricted Area Badges, Contractor Access Badges and Proximity Badges.
Processes applications and issues DBIDS badges and passes, Restricted Area Badges, contractor access badges and temporary passes to eligible/authorized personnel.
Enforce entry procedures applicable with DoD, AFI, AFMAN, MAJCOM and local instruction pertaining to Pass and Registration Center and Visitor Control Center (VCC).
Represents Combined Security Forces Pass and Registration Center and VCC with a variety of Installation and functional area organizations.
Maintains controlled forms.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: One year of general experience is required for GS-04 level positions. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. NOTE: Your resume must show experience.
OR
EDUCATION: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience as described above may be used to qualify for this position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of security processes and procedures and general clerical office functions.
Knowledge of personnel security clearances and investigation processes and the procedures, forms, and information required to verify against authorization documents, issue badges, passes, vehicle permits, or other forms of authorization.
Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with a specific security function to recognize, locate, and insert data/information; support office and security operations; and produce a variety of documents and reports.
Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of a small organization.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a diverse group of individuals, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: The VOW Act requires federal agencies to treat an eligible active duty service member as a veteran, disabled veteran, and preference eligible (as applicable) when applying for civil service positions before the effective release or discharge date. Appointment of military members before the release or discharge date is permissible if the member is on terminal leave.
