You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the SOFTWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATION BRANCH of the EXPEDITIONARY C3I & CYBER DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level.
Duties
You will be the Software Baseline Manager (GBAD SW BLM), supporting Ground-Based Air Defense (GBAD) Software Support Activity (SSA) projects.
You will be responsible for planning and monitoring the execution of the Software Builds throughout the life cycle of the GBAD Portfolio Programs.
You will provide technical input to integrated schedules, provide input to engineering and test plans that impact software activities, and be the ultimate decision maker on the quality of both the processes and product for the GBAD SW effort.
You will ensure that balanced solutions address capability limitations imposed by technology, budget, and schedule, and shall ensure that the rigorous system engineering processes are implemented in the SSA activities.
You will work directly with the GBAD program office to understand programmatic and technical priorities, limitations, and schedules that may impact software deliverable tasking, and their impacts across the fleet of GBAD users.
You will participate in local engineering activities designed to create process and product efficiencies, speaking for GBAD priorities and schedule.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning and executing IT projects for the installation, development, testing, or maintenance of software applications in support of Ground-Based Air Defense (GBAD) program requirements, or in other Program Executive Office (PEO) Land Systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
