Duties
Serves as a Technical Writer-Editor within the Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center (DIBCAC) to assess DIB for compliance with acquisition and cybersecurity regulations.
Responsible for sourcing technical information and creating technical documents and educative materials for assessment of contractor compliance of information systems.
Ensures consistency in approach, implementation, terminology, and application of process, as well as assuring delivery of credible, professional and quality presentations.
Writes and/or reviews technical documentation and readies them for general reading.
Provides analyses and technical support to both, internal and external agencies, through its three operational centers: Cybersecurity, Logistics and Safety.
Reviews, updates, and provides technical recommendations for relevant policies and procedures for the continuing execution of the Agency's Mission.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Technical Writer-Editor (Industry Analyst), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Basic Education Requirement: Must have a bachelor's Degree or higher that includes a total of 15 semester hours in an appropriate scientific, technical, or social science field(s), and at least one course above the introductory level in the field(s) covered by the position. For technical manuals and specifications writers or editors, the equivalent of 15 semester hours may have been gained through vocational or educational training above the high school level at a public, private, or Armed Forces school.
AND
B. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Applies writing and/or editing skills and substantial knowledge of the basic principles to subject matter experts and other interested audiences
Utilizes various DoD acquisition guidances and regulatory requirements, which directly impact cybersecurity assessments, to assure the assessment documentation meets these standards
Utilizes a wide array of DoD and non-DoD guidelines including regulations, directives and handbooks which are directly associated with assessing the DIB for compliance with acquisition and cybersecurity regulations
Articulates agency policies and explain technical aspects of agency programs, making it clear without sacrificing thoroughness and accuracy
Education

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
