Duties
Operates one or more vehicles which typically have gross vehicle weights of more than 32,000 pounds.
Operates 35 cubic yard front load trash removal trucks with rear electronic camera and monitoring devise and front compactor to pick up and dispose of residential and industrial trash on a scheduled route;
Both in a restricted installation environment and on public roads.
Operates platform, dump and stake trucks, and cargo vans to pick and deliver recyclable material and equipment.
Operates vehicles equipped with a power takeoff device for transferring engine power to special purpose accessory equipment, such as plows and spreaders, particularly in support of snow removal operations.
Operates farm-type tractors and towed or attached equipment on level or rolling terrain such as open fields, parks, orchards, lawns, and along roadways.
Operates boom slope mowers to cut grass on slopes while operating the tractor on level ground along roads.
Loads, unloads, separates, stacks, and carries materials, supplies, and packages with the assistance of hand trucks or dollies such as furniture, equipment, supplies, etc., through confined spaces.
Operates heavy hand tools and power equipment such as heavy, walking-type power mowers, edgers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, mechanical spreaders, handsaws, chainsaws, hatchets, picks, shovels, and clippers to perform tasks such as;
Mowing; trimming tree limbs; digging ditches and trenches by hand, compacting soil; grading and sloping; and clearing small trees and bush.
Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Adheres to all State, local and installation traffic laws and ordinances.
Requires a State certified Class A Commercial Driver's License.

- This is a Mission Essential (ME) position. The incumbent may be required to report to work in the event of a natural disaster, inclement weather, or crisis.
- Must possess a PA CDL Class A driver's license with air brake endorsement and appropriate government license for all vehicles.
Qualifications
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard for Trades and Labor Occupations. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying. Emphasis is placed on how you gained the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time, and the required ability or potential to perform the job. Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element (SOE) will be eliminated from further competition. The SOE and minimum qualifications for this position is:
I perform the common tasks of the job to be filled but under close supervision, such as driving and/or operating vehicles which typically have gross vehicle weights of 32,000 pounds or less over installation roads and/or public highways.
