THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a WG-5701-11 MOBILE EQUIPMENT DRIVER EXAMINER (SSC) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2432000 in FAC 42T100 and is part of the MO 139th Airlift Wing. APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is a Permanent Excepted Service position. This is a bargaining position.

Duties

Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the shop which is then completed by the technician and lower graded worker(s). Serves as shop chief over a small organizational segment in a maintenance function with responsibility for the overall shop operation. Determines approached, methods and courses of action required to accomplish the mission of the shop in an effective and efficient manner. Independently determines appropriate maintenance procedures. Estimates time, equipment and material requirements. Devises and maintains plans and records. May provide recommendations and input to supervisor concerning personnel actions such as performance appraisals, awards, position description changes, disciplinary actions and leave. Performs the full range of shop work. Implements safety regulatory requirements. Ensures that other workers in the shop wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. Performs other duties as assigned.

• This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Missouri National Guard prior to the effective date of placement.
• Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
• Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
• Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Selected candidate must be AFSC qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Enlisted - AFSC 2TXXX Maximum Military Grade - SMSgt (E-8) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: - Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position. . WG-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 18 months of specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to to manage vehicle training, perform training, document training, and establish and implement training programs. This experience must also include developing performance tests specific for the equipment, setting up exercise positions and boundaries in any arrangement that is convenient to the location, determining the appropriate maintenance procedures to include estimate time, equipment and material requirements, and planning and laying out work to be accomplished in the shop which is then completed by the lower graded workers. Must currently hold or have held AFSC 2T1X1.

This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
