The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs to include but not limited to task management, cybersecurity liaison (CL), Government Travel Card (GTC) program, Defense Travel System (DTS) administrator, drug demand reduction' health care and fitness program, Government Purchase Card (GPC) program

Duties

Duty 1: Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Administers programs and serves as the primary source of information. Duty 2: Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. Ensures unit program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and squadron commander directives Duty 3: Serves as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues Duty 4 Assists in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements. Serves as the point of contact for both civilian and military position utilization. Maintains manpower manning documents Duty 5: Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization. Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed agreement must be signed.

  • This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

Qualifications

This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Entry/Developmental" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Miscellaneous Clerk and Assistant Series. *** Salary ranges include local market supplements *** EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization, of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs, security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information in a complex security environment; knowledge of of structure, programs and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues; skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems and gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and posses the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines and ability to plan and organize management programs. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information in a complex security environment Knowledge of structure, programs and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and posses the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines and ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
