About the Position: This position is established to perform a combination of tasks concerned with the receipt, storage, issue and replenishment of a wide variety of supplies, Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, Simulations, Multiple Integrated Engagement Laser Systems and publications (TADSS/MILES/Publications). The incumbent maintains hand receipt accounts and processes TADSS/MILES loan orders. Incumbent is responsible for ordering supplies for TADSS/MILES.

Duties

Performs a combination of tasks concerned with the receipt, storage, issue and replenishment of a variety of supplies. Oversees supply stockage levels and establish or adjust stock levels and reorder points using prescribed procedures. Orders supplies for Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, Simulations, Multiple Integrated Engagement Laser Systems. Performs clerical duties as they relate to the Training Support Center (TSC).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment, Tier 1.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • This position requires the employee to travel away from the normal duty station on a frequent basis up to approximately 5%.
  • This position requires the incumbent to type 40wpm.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) performing duties related to general supply office operations (i.e. clerical and office related duties using computers and supply software packages) in order to enter, manipulate, or retrieve data to prepare reports; (2) establishing internal files for accountability purposes within supply functional filing systems; AND (3) providing customer support for management of supplies/equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsManages and Organizes InformationTechnical CompetenceWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
