The Public Building Service, Pacific Rim Region is looking for students to hire into the Pathways Intern Program. This program facilitates the college-to-career transition by providing opportunities in a variety of career tracks.Location of position: 50 United Nations Plaza, San Francisco, CA or 300 North Los Angeles Blvd, Los Angeles, CAAt this time we are filling two vacancies, one in each location. Additional vacancies may be filled from this announcement as needed.
Duties
This position is in the Pacific Rim Region, Public Buildings Service. We are the landlord and real estate developer for the civilian federal government in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, and the Pacific island territories.

The GS-3 salary range in San Francisco, CA starts at $17.80 per hour; In Los Angeles, CA, $16.65 per hour.
The GS-4 salary range in San Francisco, CA starts at $19.98 per hour; In Los Angeles, CA, $18.69 per hour.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify:
At the GS-3: Completion of one full academic year of post-high school study OR six months of progressively responsible clerical, office or other experience which indicates an ability to acquire the particular knowledge andskills needed to perform the duties of the clerical position to be filled OR a combination of education and experience.
At the GS-4: Completion of two full academic years of post-high-school study OR an associate's degree OR one year of clerical, office or other experience which indicates an ability to acquire the particular knowledge andskills needed to perform the duties of the clerical position to be filled OR a combination of education and experience.
NOTE: One year of full-time undergraduate study is defined as 30 semester hours/45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university program.
Education
You must submit an unofficial transcript showing you are in an educational program working towards a 4 year degree enrolled at lease half time according to the educational institution you are attending.
Qualifying educational institutions/programs for Pathways include: a high school/GED whose curriculum has been approved by a state or local governing body, or a home-school curriculum; and any accredited technical or vocational school, 2- or 4-year college or university, a graduate or professional school, or a post-secondary home-school curriculum.
A post-secondary certificate program must have been completed at a qualifying educational institution equivalent to at least 1 academic year of full-time study that is part of an accredited college-level, technical, trade, vocational, or business school curriculum.
If you are using foreign education to meet qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education.
