Duties
This position is located in the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) within the Chief Information Officer Directorate, Enterprise IT Services Division, IT Service Management Branch at Glynco, Georgia. As an Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning) you are a valuable member of the FLETC team and mission. This position is responsible for developing governance, consistency, and improved quality of enterprise IT services. The position will assist the IT Service Management team with providing high-quality products and services by ensuring business processes are correctly aligned to enable mission requirements and support FLETC’s business outcomes.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
You must possess at least one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service using IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodologies for IT Service Management and Strategy to improve business processes in an organization. Please ensure your response is supported by information in your resume.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps and AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary, although there may be light carrying of books, printouts, manuals, files, and equipment.
Work Environment: The majority of the work is performed in a typical office setting.
