About the Position: The installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio. For everyone who enjoys the outdoors, The Great Place is the ideal location, because of warm winters and hot summers. The nearby lakes, Belton and Stillhouse, offer year round outdoor recreation activities.

Duties

Reads and interprets legal metes and bounds descriptions of the proposed outgrant, and prepares related maps and plans. Check transfer documents for accuracy and coordinate with contract construction inspectors prior to final acceptance. Study existing facility assets (design, capacity, status, etc.), and tracks facilities under construction and scheduled for disposal. Collect and assemble engineering data concerning base unit quantities, design, construction criteria, and cost for documentation and inclusion in the Real Property account. Ensure that all items of real property owned, leased, or otherwise controlled, are recorded on permanent record on both a quantitative monetary basis, IAW governing regulations and directives.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid state drivers license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Real Estate, Business Management, Marketing, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsReal EstateWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-7).
